Richard lane
Richard began his IT career as a programmer with ABS Computers, and during the following three years gained experience in system development from its concept to the implementation and support into a customer environment. After three years Richard moved into the Account Management role and initially was responsible for managing the service delivery and customer relationship in the financial and insurance sectors.
In 1995 EDS acquired ABS and during the following four years Richard held the position of bid manager. He was responsible for co‑ordinating the sales effort and ensuring the service definition was aligned to customer expectations. During this period Richard was exposed to the global community of IT service providers and gained valuable experience in developing service contracts with various suppliers, both nationally and internationally.
In July 1999 he joined DA Consulting Group South Africa where he managed all operational aspects of the business. DA Consulting Group had offices in Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town. He was instrumental in the successful re‑engineering effort and implementation of delivery and operational processes and procedures.
Richard brings extensive and proven operational experience to Entity. He has an affinity with people and well‑developed management and communication skills.
Richard has a Bachelor of Science (Honours), from Rhodes University, Grahamstown.
Alex Stamp
Alex started out as a learner official with Anglo American in 1977. He later moved into work study and went on to complete an NDE (Industrial). He joined Nissan in 1984 and moved into manufacturing engineering management with ATE.
Alex then joined Deloitte in the late 1980’s as an operations and strategy consultant during which time he became more involved with information architecture.
In 1995 Alex moved to outsourcing giant EDS where he managed their industrial outsourcing accounts. After a short stint at IBM in 1999, Alex went out on his own and over the last 7 years or so has focused on the effective use of data within organisations, with specific emphasis on data governance and master data management.
He has worked on data related projects in SA and the middle East and consults to major blue-chip companies.
Darren moss
Darren started his career in electronics in the SANDF specialising in radio frequency communication. He did his apprenticeship from 1992 to 1996.
He then joined Sun International where he was responsible for the installation and support of both the hardware integration between the gaming devices and the in house written Casino Management System at one of the Casinos.
In 2000 he went to Head Office where he started a career as a developer on the in house Casino Management System, where he learnt systems design and databases.
He was a critical part of the team responsible for the implementation of MDM at Sun International by providing the relevant insight and data to the MDM solution.
This led him to form a part of the Enterprise Architecture team at Sun International where he focussed mainly on the MDM solution. In this time he became quite familiar with not only MDM but the IBM MDM SE application.
He ended up being solely responsible for the MDM solution at Sun International.
In 2014 Darren left Sun International and joined the Entity SA team as an MDM technical consultant where he has been involved in MDM implementations both locally and abroad.
